These unusual dinner and soup plates were designed by Markéta Kalivodová from NALEJTO, a group of young Czech designers focusing on utilitarian pottery. Just like its brothers and sisters from the ‘Fryst’ collection, it owes its unique, frost-like surface to a special ‘icing’ method. The gold, pearl and platinum plating further accents the beautiful surface and turns the plate into a bold and luxurious addition to your tableware collection.
Nalejto is basically a girl band, but instead of pop hits, they make beautiful porcelain. There are three members at the moment – Markéta Kalivodová, Lucie Vostalová and Lenka Záhorková. Each of them has her own style, technique and source of inspiration, and yet, their brand has a very distinctive charm and personality. This might be because they all have a common goal – to find the right balance between aesthetics and functionality.
