Designed by Pavla Vachunová, the head of the Tyformy studio, this large porcelain bowl has a simple shape and a distinct decor. The pattern refers to a couple of special apple varieties, which are only grown in Horňácko, a microregion in South-Eastern Moravia. Vachunová created the unique pattern by imprinting some of these apples onto the bowl. This way, she hopes to preserve something that may not be here anymore in a few years or decades. It is not just a bowl – it is a memory.

Tyformy is an independent studio based in Prague. It is a place to go if you want an extraordinary piece of jewellery to spice up your everyday life, or if you like porcelain with a story. The most commonly used ingredients are porcelain and other ceramic materials, although they often add metals and all kinds of natural materials to the mix as well. Most of their creations are inspired by nature – and not just by nature in general, but by very specific locations and their particularities.
