DECHEM is an award-winning design studio from Prague, founded in 2012 by Michaela Tomišková and Jakub Janďourek. Despite the fact their studio is relatively young, this talented couple of experienced glassmakers (and a real-life couple, too) managed to build a reputation for combining traditional bohemian craftsmanship and modern design.

Designed to take your breath away

DECHEM is an award-winning design studio from Prague, founded in 2012 by Michaela Tomišková and Jakub Janďourek. Despite the fact their studio is relatively young, this talented couple of experienced glassmakers (and a real-life couple, too!) managed to build a reputation for combining traditional bohemian craftsmanship and modern design.

Their creations may remind you of a good poem – they are simple but soul-stirring. Some DECHEM pieces are rather useful (a unique light fixture or tableware), while another fall under the “made solely to please the eye” category. Whatever the case, all their pieces are 1) hand-made and 2) hard to stop looking at.

Their signature product is Bandaska, a minimalist pastel vase inspired by traditional Czech milk pots. The legendary French company Ligne Roset loved Bandaska so much they included it in their own collection – et c’est un grand succès!
